I was in a relationship with pain
But your voice like medicine healed my ripped heart
Where he browled his claws and stung my chest with his harsh words
Therefore…
I got drunk in your footsteps and lost my world to you
Trusted you with my thoughts
Loved you with the passion put to use
In my old griefs and with my childhood’s faith

Yesterday…
You changed my life and made me appreciate things around me including myself
You helped me fix relationships with people l thought were not worth it by just loving me
You made me see my inner self and embrace every weakness l had and made it my strength
You were there for me in more than any male figure would have
You made me see me for the very first time
And then…
You left with no explanation
I still lay in bed reminiscing about the time l have wasted with you
If only l knew…
l would have tied your hands to my day dreams and auctioned you to my fondest memories
If only l could, l would…
I would come up with anything spiteful enough not to care about you or your bastard children called memories
I don’t know if l am making any sense but you know…
You know l get so confused when I am so emotional
I hated you for the very first time

Yesterday…
Most probably…
I won’t love my today as much l loved you
Yes, you…!
My Yesterday.
