How many of us take the time out to give our skin a break before going to bed? It’s essential that we show our skin some love every night before bed time so as to relieve it from the buildup of make-up and oil during the day.
These are our 3 easy steps to making sure you and your face get a good nights sleep:
1. Remove make up
Firstly, if you are a make-up person, make sure that you do not go to bed with your make-up on. Going to bed with make-up causes your pores to be clogged, and this in turn results in breakouts. One tip to making sure that your face is free from all the make-up is to oil cleanse your face before bed. Oil cleansing is when you rub into your face, olive oil, coconut oil, almond oil or any oil that is good for the skin, and then wipe it off with a warm towel. However, if oil cleansing is too time consuming, the good old face wipes still do the job.
2. Deep cleanse
Skin experts however warn that it’s not enough to just remove your make-up and then call it a night. Make sure you exfoliate your skin with a scrub or deep cleanser of your choice. This just opens up you skin and pores, allowing it to breath.
Now that your pores are open and clean, a good moisturiser will absorb into your face allowing it to rejuvenate the skin during a night’s rest.
