Beauty tip: Importance of removing make-up before bedtime

Last week in our bedtime routine beauty tip we mentioned removing your make-up as one of the first things to do before bedtime. Today, we will explain the importance of doing this.

  1. Allow  your skin to breathe: During the night time your skin repairs itself, hence it needs all the oxygen it can get to do so. Sleeping with your make-up on denies your skin from oxygen, preventing it from self-repairing, this will result in you having clogged pores, that leads to acne.
  2. Get rid of all the pollution and dirt: Make-up absorbs lots of pollution, dirt, and residues from the environment during the day. Removing your make-up before you go to bed means that you are washing away all that pollution and dirt that clings to your skin, and is harmful to your skin’s health.
  3. Dirty pillow case: Very simple, going to sleep with your make up on will leave your pillow dirty and full of make-up. It might seem like not a big issue, but that make-up build-up on your pillow, in time, forms a space for bacteria to grow. This  bacteria will infect your skin and cause break-outs, blemishes, and even acne.

Remember to always love your skin and treat it with love.
