Last week in our bedtime routine beauty tip we mentioned removing your make-up as one of the first things to do before bedtime. Today, we will explain the importance of doing this.
- Allow your skin to breathe: During the night time your skin repairs itself, hence it needs all the oxygen it can get to do so. Sleeping with your make-up on denies your skin from oxygen, preventing it from self-repairing, this will result in you having clogged pores, that leads to acne.
- Get rid of all the pollution and dirt: Make-up absorbs lots of pollution, dirt, and residues from the environment during the day. Removing your make-up before you go to bed means that you are washing away all that pollution and dirt that clings to your skin, and is harmful to your skin’s health.
- Dirty pillow case: Very simple, going to sleep with your make up on will leave your pillow dirty and full of make-up. It might seem like not a big issue, but that make-up build-up on your pillow, in time, forms a space for bacteria to grow. This bacteria will infect your skin and cause break-outs, blemishes, and even acne.
Remember to always love your skin and treat it with love.
