It’s been nearly 100 days into 2017, an excellent time to reflect on your year to date, ask yourself, what have I accomplished?
If you had planned to save $ 10 000, you should already have saved 1/3 of that amount. If your goal was to lose least three kilograms of weight in 2017, you should have lost 1 kilogram by now. As entrepreneurs, we started the year with dreams and goals for the year, how far are you? Can you see a little progress? Or have you exceeded your expectations?
Because, on a global scale, there is a disconnect between KNOWING and DOING (intention and results) as it has been established that the goals that individuals and companies set for themselves don’t look at all like the results they actually achieve.
We all know that eating a healthy diet is the right thing to do, but most of us choose the unhealthy options.
KBA Africa hosted a BootCamp in Harare in December, at which Government Ministers and their representatives, Bankers, financial service providers and various business people were represented. The event provided the opportunity for our entrepreneurs to establish contact and network, with the objective of finding common ground and collaborating in the future. How many of us have actually taken the opportunities created to the next level? As the wise people say “You can take a horse to the water, but you can’t force it to drink.”
Don’t waste your opportunities! The greatest waste of resources in this world are good intentions that don’t translate into goal directed behaviour.
