Diepsloot Combined School’s annual prize giving is an opportunity for educators to celebrate the efforts made and achievements gained by learners during the current academic year. They held their event on the 17th of October. It is an opportunity to formally congratulate those learners who have performed well in a whole variety of different areas.
Prize-giving ceremonies are held at the end of each year. Parents received invitations to attend these ceremonies.
Ibbamo Foundation managed to attend the ceremony and shared some joy with winners and educators at the institution. Ibbamo Foundation partners with Diepsloot Combined School in many capacities concerned with improving learners’ development and well-being.
An overriding consideration in all awards is that the learners will have at all times displayed exemplary behaviour and have been a credit to the school.
On winning prizes, Orrin Woodward said: “The only people capable of handling success are those who have learned to handle failures without taking their eyes off the prize.”
Prize giving ceremonies in schools are all about acknowledging and celebrating the achievements of the students involved. It highlights the hard work and achievements of the prize winners.
Congratulations to all the students who are working hard for a brighter future of themselves and of South Africa! Africa is in our hands.
