Speaking as a person who sees and plans for dozens of businesses every day making healthy monthly net profits, I would absolutely say you should start an online business.
If you are a good writer, you are in luck, you can almost always make $600–2,000 per month grinding out written content. You can go to places like Textbroker, Upwork, iWriter etc to get writing jobs in the $0.02-$0.03 per word quite easily.
If you succeed, definitely reinvest any money you can back into learning your craft better so you can charge more money. For writing, you would want to reinvest into copywriting, SEO and content marketing. Those three skills pay far more than just typical article grinding, but it will likely take time to learn them.
Niche sites really cost nothing to make in the grand scheme of things. You have: the domain ($8–12 per year usually) and hosting ($5–10 per month).
The theme which you can get for free if you are using WordPress, which has a ton of great themes you can choose, and premium themes too once you get going.
Content – if you have no money you will be writing all of this yourself.
Niche sites usually take about a year to really mature on their own and start making good money. There is a lot that goes into it. We sell these kind of niche sites week in and week out at our brokerage, and I can tell you first hand they are awesome businesses once you get them off the ground.
It is the cheapest way to start your online business. Affiliate marketing is a hybrid advertising and referral channel by which third parties promote another company’s product or service and receive a commission for any sales generated. Affiliates can be a major revenue driver for ecommerce stores, translating their visibility into brand awareness and sales.
The cheapest business to start with is browsing the internet, searching for small businesses who do not have social media presence yet.
Identify the founder of this small business, find them on LinkedIn, connect with them, and message them about creating and managing a business page for them on social channels.
