If you have whichever diabetes or high blood pressure, your doctor should screen for kidney dysfunction as part of routine care for those conditions.
- Eat healthy foods
Most kidney problems arise out of other medical conditions like high blood pressure and diabetes. Because of this, eat healthy, practise modest eating habits to control weight and blood pressure.
- Exercise habitually
Exercising is a good idea because consistent physical activity will cut off weight gain and high blood pressure. However, exceeding yourself when you are not fit and well can put a strain on your kidneys.
